Jordan Daily – World Bank Group President Ajay Banga arrived in Jordan on Sunday for a one-day visit to boost strategic ties and discuss ways to speed up development and improve living standards in the country.
Banga will meet with Prime Minister Bisher Al-Khasawneh and other senior officials, as well as private sector and development partners, to reaffirm the World Bank’s support for Jordan’s economic modernization vision 2033, which aims to achieve sustainable and inclusive growth and create jobs.
He will also discuss Jordan’s efforts to provide services and opportunities for Syrian refugees, and ways to enhance water security and climate action in the country.
Banga also meetwith beneficiaries of World Bank-funded projects that foster entrepreneurship, digital development and job creation, especially for women and youth, and interacts with private sector and entrepreneurial stakeholders.
