Jordan Daily – During the current fiscal year, the World Bank has committed over one billion dollars to Jordan through various channels, including loan programmes, regular projects, and grants. From the beginning of July 2022 to the end of June 2023, the World Bank and Jordan have collaboratively signed six programs and projects, totaling $1.039 billion. These initiatives aim to bolster several critical sectors in the country.
The funds are directed towards enhancing the efficiency of the water and electricity sectors, as well as supporting climate-friendly investments in partnership with the private sector. Additionally, the agricultural sector will receive support, alongside efforts to reform administration and provide municipal assistance.
These endeavors collectively strive to bolster Jordan’s infrastructure, economy, and overall development, reflecting the ongoing collaboration between the World Bank and the Jordanian government.
