Jordan Daily – In a new evaluation report, the World Bank confirmed that the Municipal Services and Social Resilience Project, which aims to assist Jordanian municipalities and host communities affected by the influx of Syrian refugees, is progressing “satisfactorily.”
According to data seen by the Jordan Daily , the bank recently agreed to provide a fourth grant for the project at a value of $4.78 million, in addition to extending the project for a full year, to be closed on June 30, 2024.
The report added that the aim of the extension is to provide additional time for the implementation of the remaining project activities, as the project supports 28 municipalities impacted by the influx of Syrian refugees, which affected the services and job opportunities for Jordanians and Syrians.
