Yemen PM announces arrest of those responsible for Killing UN employee in Taiz

Jordan Daily – Yemeni Prime Minister Maeen Abdul-Malik announced the arrest of the individuals responsible for the assassination of Moayed Hamidi, a Jordanian national and a United Nations (UN) employee, in the city of Turbah, located in the southern part of Taiz Governorate.

During a phone conversation with Cindy McCain, the Executive Director of the World Food Program of the United Nations, Abdul-Malik assured her that the perpetrators would be brought to trial, describing the act as a “terrorist crime.”

The Prime Minister reaffirmed his government’s commitment to ensuring the safety of humanitarian operations, facilitating the work of relief organizations, and providing unimpeded access for aid delivery to those in need.
