Jordan Daily – Minister of Political and Parliamentary Affairs, Haditha Al-Khraisha, announced that 42 percent of party members in Jordan are youth.
This remark was made during a panel discussion held at Yarmouk University on Tuesday, titled “The Election Law and Electoral Participation,” as part of the Youth Summer 2024 activities.
Al-Khraisha emphasized the ministry’s ongoing efforts to encourage young people to engage in party politics and increase their participation in the electoral process. He urged youth to select their representatives in the House of Representatives based on realistic programs that serve the public interest.
He also reviewed the history and development of political parties in Jordan, noting that parties are not formed by government decree but are a constitutional right for citizens, with membership being a voluntary choice.
