Zaid Naffa calls for strategic economic reform in Jordan

Jordan Daily – Engineer Zaid Naffa, General Secretary of Azm Party, called for a strategic overhaul of the national economy at a gathering in Tafilah Governorate, advocating for a shift from consumption to production to address the country’s economic woes.
Naffa outlined the party’s vision for an economy that leverages Jordan’s natural resources , attract investment and promote sustainable growth , emphasizing the need to tackle the energy and water crises, aiming to alleviate poverty, reduce unemployment, and strengthen the middle class.
The Azm Party’s approach focuses on key sectors such as agriculture, tourism, mining, and small to medium-sized industries, reflecting the country’s economic identity. Naffa credited the party’s swift political ascent to its scientific planning and moderate political stance, resonating with the broader Jordanian population.
With Jordan undergoing a political transition towards party-based governance, Naffa underscored the importance of restoring public trust in political institutions , expressing optimism that Jordanians would become more politically active if they saw real progress in economic reform.
The Azm Party is working towards introducing practical and achievable policies as it seeks to establish Jordan’s first party-led government.
