Al-Ahliyya Amman University joins the ranks of the top 1000 universities worldwide

Jordan Daily – Dr. Maher Al-Hourani, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al-Ahliyya Amman University, emphasized that the recent achievement of the university joining the ranks of the top thousand universities worldwide was not a spontaneous occurrence. Instead, it was the result of dedicated efforts by a team of specialized leaders who worked diligently to attain success, a source of immense pride and honor.

During a press conference held yesterday , Dr. Al-Hourani highlighted the university’s notable accomplishment , ranking first among private Jordanian universities and third among all Jordanian universities, both public and private. Al-Ahliyya Amman University secured its place among the top 1000 universities globally, occupying the impressive range of 801-850, as per the QS World University Rankings for 2024.

Dr. Al-Hourani underlined that by fostering scientific research, the university established a transformative foundation. It attracted accomplished professors who were carefully selected by the university president to form a leadership team, empowering them to operate with a sense of ownership and loyalty . This approach served as the catalyst for the university’s ongoing success, achievements, and brilliance, with a steadfast commitment to pursuing further accomplishments in the future.

Dr. Sari Hamdan, President of Al-Ahliyya Amman University, expressed gratitude for the faculty members who demonstrated their dedication by producing valuable research papers. Following the approval of the Board of Trustees, a minimum requirement of two research papers per year was set. The remarkable progress became evident when the number of research papers increased from 48 in 2018 to an impressive 600 this year, a testament to the collective efforts and blessings from above.

Furthermore, Dr. Hamdan revealed that the university is on track to inaugurate the Faculty of Dentistry in September of this year, an undertaking with an estimated cost of 15 million dinars. The faculty is poised to be a cutting-edge institution equipped with state-of-the-art facilities and resources.

Dr. Hamdan further highlighted the university’s commitment to enhancing the laboratory facilities in the Faculties of Medicine and Pharmacy, investing 2 million dinars in the development process. Additionally, one million dinars has been allocated to establish the College of Culinary Arts, a testament to the university’s dedication to providing students with a comprehensive and modern educational experience.
