Jordan Daily - Jordanian workers in Qatar sent home about 475 million riyals ($130 million) in 2023, a 10% increase from the previous year, according to data from banks and exchange firms.

The figures, reflect the growing presence of Jordanian expatriates in the Gulf state, where they work in various sectors and levels in both the public and private sectors.

The remittances are a vital source of income for many Jordanian families, helping them cope with living expenses, loans, education, health care and housing costs. They also boost the Jordanian economy and its foreign currency reserves.





More than 70,000 Jordanians live and work in Qatar, mainly in sectors such as education, health, finance, real estate, construction, industry, hospitality, tourism, food, services and information technology.
