Jordan Daily - Jordan will partially and temporarily close its airspace to all incoming, outgoing and transit flights on a nightly basis due to regional developments and risk assessments in line with international standards, the country’s civil aviation regulator said on Monday.

Captain Dhaifallah Al-Farajat, Chairman of the Board of Commissioners of the Civil Aviation Regulatory Commission, said the closure will be implemented daily from 6 p.m. until 9 a.m. local time, starting from tonight and continuing until further notice.

The decision was taken to ensure the safety and security of civil aviation in Jordanian airspace, Al-Farajat said.

The authority urged passengers to contact their respective airlines directly to confirm flight schedules and stay informed of any changes.
