Jordan Daily - The board of Jordanian Duty Free Shops Company has appointed Murad Abu-Eid as chief executive officer, succeeding Haitham Al-Majali, effective April 1, 2026.
Abu-Eid received the highest evaluation score in the company’s competitive selection process, according to company regulations, reflecting his extensive leadership and business development experience.
He brings more than 28 years of regional management experience. Abu-Eid most recently served as general manager of Global Health and previously held the role of general manager for Bayer HealthCare in the Levant, where he led commercial and strategic operations and delivered strong market growth.
During his career, he has also held senior leadership roles at Boehringer Ingelheim and Schering AG, working in business management, marketing and regional market development.
Abu-Eid holds a bachelor’s degree in pharmacy from the University of Jordan and has completed executive leadership programs at INSEAD, Duke University and the Management Centre of Europe.
