Jordan Daily - Investment Minister Tareq Abu Ghazaleh met Sweden’s ambassador Maria Sargren and representatives of Swedish firms operating in the kingdom, alongside members of the Swedish-Jordanian Business Network on Tuesday to discuss expanding investment and economic cooperation.

Abu Ghazaleh highlighted strong bilateral ties and said Jordan is working to create a more competitive investment environment through regulatory reforms aimed at easing business operations and boosting investor confidence. He cited stability, strategic location, free trade agreements and skilled labor as key advantages.

Sargren emphasized the importance of deepening partnerships and strengthening public-private dialogue to facilitate investment flows and maximize opportunities.

The meeting brought together representatives from the Swedish Embassy, officials from the Ministry of Investment and other relevant government bodies, as well as private sector representatives and Swedish companies operating in Jordan. Discussions focused on opportunities to expand in the energy, industry, technology and services sectors, with the aim of strengthening bilateral investment ties.
