Jordan Daily - Jordan’s airspace has remained fully operational despite recent regional tensions, Chairman of the Civil Aviation Regulatory Commission, Captain Dhaifallah Al-Farajat, said on Thursday.
He added that flights by the national carrier, Royal Jordanian, continued normally to European and U.S. destinations, with no disruptions linked to Jordanian airspace.
Any temporary suspensions were due to other countries closing their airspace for safety reasons, not conditions in Jordan, he noted.
With military operations easing, Al-Farajat noted a gradual reopening of key regional airspace, including over Syria and Iraq, enabling the resumption of flights and improved regional connectivity.
He said the development has already boosted Jordan’s aviation sector, with more international airlines resuming services and increased overflight traffic.
Shorter routes are also reducing costs and encouraging more flights, he added, stressing Jordan’s readiness to handle growing air traffic while maintaining high safety standards.
