Jordan Daily - Minister of Investment Tareq Abu Ghazaleh held a series of meetings in London with British business leaders and trade representatives to promote investment opportunities in the kingdom and strengthen economic partnerships.

Abu Ghazaleh participated in a roundtable hosted by British Expertise International (BEI) and The D Group’s Strategic Advisory Group, attended by Jordan’s ambassador to the United Kingdom, Manar Dabbas, and executives from infrastructure, energy, manufacturing and logistics sectors.

The discussions focused on expanding private-sector partnerships between Jordan and Britain, particularly in development projects, and leveraging Jordan’s strategic location as a gateway to regional markets.

Abu Ghazaleh highlighted the strong strategic ties between the two countries and outlined investment opportunities across key sectors, citing Jordan’s competitive business environment and economic reforms aimed at facilitating investment.

“These meetings provide an important platform to engage directly with business leaders and international investors and showcase Jordan’s promising opportunities,” he said.

Ambassador Dabbas said Jordan was keen to deepen economic and investment cooperation with the British business community and attract more foreign investment.

David Landsman, chief executive officer of BEI and consulting director at The D Group, said the event offered an opportunity to explore new avenues for collaboration between British and Jordanian private-sector companies.

Separately, Abu Ghazaleh met with UK Trade Envoy to Jordan, Kuwait and the Palestinian Territories Lord Iain McNicol and leaders of the Arab-British Chamber of Commerce to discuss trade cooperation and potential business partnerships.

The meetings are part of Jordan’s broader efforts to attract high-quality investments, support economic growth and create jobs.
