Calls for Clear Criteria for Granting Medical Exemptions in Jordan
Jordan Daily – Deputy Farid Haddad, Ajloun District, revealed that the percentage of individuals benefiting from civil health insurance in Jordan ranges between 42% and 48% of the country’s population. Meanwhile, military insurance coverage accounts for approximately 28% to 30%.
During a parliamentary meeting discussing medical exemptions, Haddad emphasized the importance of clear criteria for granting these exemptions. He further highlighted that there are around 1.5 to 1.9 million citizens who are not covered by any health insurance.
Furthermore , Haddad said that the government is actively working towards reducing the number of individuals relying on medical exemptions.
