Jordan Daily – Armed clashes broke out on November 7 between the US-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) and local Arab tribes in Deir Ezzor, eastern Syria, according to reports from Al Mayadeen TV.
The fighting began after the SDF attacked the city of Mayadin, prompting Arab clans to retaliate.
Tensions between the Kurdish-run Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (AANES) and Arab tribes have persisted for over a year, with sporadic flare-ups despite efforts to de-escalate.
Arab tribes have aligned with the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) in their opposition to the US presence in Syria.
