Jordan Daily – Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ayman Safadi met Thursday with U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for Near Eastern Affairs Barbara Leaf.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that the meeting focused on ending the Israeli aggression on Gaza and completing the prisoner exchange deal through Egyptian, Qatari, and American efforts. They also discussed ensuring sufficient and sustainable humanitarian aid reach all areas of the Gaza Strip.
Additionally, the meeting addressed several bilateral issues in the context of efforts to enhance cooperation between the two countries.
Leaf is currently on a Middle East tour to discuss ongoing diplomatic efforts for a ceasefire deal in Gaza.
