In historic move … half of top Azm Party parliamentary candidates are women

Jordan Daily – The Azm Party has announced its general electoral list, comprising 35 candidates , for the upcoming parliamentary elections scheduled for September 10th.

The Party stated that this move is part of the constitutional mandate and reflects the ongoing political reforms and modernization efforts aimed at strengthening democratic governance. The elections are seen as a critical step in deepening national loyalty and advancing the developmental and national achievements championed by King Abdullah II, with the support of Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II.

Notably, the list features a significant representation of women, with half of the top ten candidates being female.

In a press remarks , Azm Party Secretary-General Engineer Zaid Naffa announced the names of the candidates on the general list. He emphasized that the selection process was thorough and meticulous, guided by principles of transparency, fairness, and impartiality, in alignment with the party’s commitment to national interests and its mission, goals, and ideology. The candidates were chosen by a high-level selection committee, ensuring that the process served the broader national interest.
