Jordan Daily – The Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs strongly condemned Israel’s recent attacks on military sites in Iran, calling them a blatant violation of international law and the United Nations Charter.
In a statement sent to Jordan Daily by the Iranian Embassy in Amman, Tehran labeled the Israeli actions as an unlawful use of force that undermines the territorial integrity and sovereignty of nations.
Referring to Article 51 of the UN Charter, which enshrines the right to self-defense, the ministry underscored Iran’s entitlement and obligation to respond to external aggression. “The Islamic Republic of Iran stresses its commitment to defending its national security interests, using all material and spiritual resources of the Iranian nation,” the statement said, while also reiterating Iran’s responsibility toward maintaining regional peace and security.
Tehran further urged collective action by regional countries to protect stability and expressed gratitude to countries that condemned Israel’s aggressive actions.
The statement blamed Israel, supported militarily and politically by the United States and Western allies, for perpetuating regional instability. It condemned Israel’s continued occupation, illegal actions, and crimes against Palestinians and Lebanon, which Iran views as the primary drivers of insecurity.
Iran also called on the international community, including United Nations members and signatories to the Geneva Conventions and the Genocide Convention, to take immediate action to stop Israel’s “genocide, war, and aggression” in Gaza and Lebanon.
The statement emphasized the urgent need for global mobilization to rein in Israel’s warmongering.
