Jordan Daily – Senator Dr. Ibrahim Al-Bdour revealed that His Majesty King Abdullah II played a pivotal role in halting a shipment of  American offensive weapons to Israel.

Al-Bdour, in an interview with Jordan TV , confirmed that “according to informed sources, His Majesty the King was the main and pivotal player in this,” particularly during his visit to the United States and his meeting with U.S. President Joe Biden. The two leaders had a special meeting inside the White House.

Washington announced on Wednesday, through U.S. Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin, that the United States is currently reviewing some of its security aid to Israel in the short term in the context of developments in Rafah.

Austin pointed out that Washington had been clear from the beginning that Israel must take into account the civilians in Rafah when thinking about its military operation.

He explained that Washington had suspended a shipment of high explosive ammunition to Israel, noting that a final decision on how to deal with the pending weapons shipment had not yet been made.
