Jordan Daily - At certain moments in history, narratives grounded in religious interpretations or selective readings of the past resurface, attempting to cloak expansionist political agendas with a veneer of “legitimacy.” Yet, regardless of how often such narratives are repeated, they remain detached from the realities of our time and fundamentally at odds with the principles upon which the modern international order is built.
What is being advanced today in the form of cross-border geographic visions can only be understood as an expression of an exclusionary mindset—one that disregards the foundations of law and politics, and relies on distorted interpretations that clash directly with the established principles of state sovereignty and territorial integrity. These are principles that are neither open to reinterpretation nor subject to negotiation. The world can no longer afford the re-emergence of conflicts driven by expansionist illusions or the imposition of faits accomplis.
In this context, Jordan’s position stands out as a model of a state that clearly understands its role, its place, and the limits of its responsibilities—without compromising its national constants or being drawn into the noise of unrealistic propositions. Jordan has never been a battleground for competing projects, nor a passageway for ambitions. It is a deeply rooted state, founded on political legitimacy, balance, and the free will of its people.
Jordan’s strength is not measured by its geographical size, but by the wisdom of its leadership, the clarity of its vision, the strength of its institutions, and the cohesion of its society. This unique combination has enabled the Kingdom to withstand challenges, resist pressure and coercion, and maintain a consistent and principled stance regardless of changing circumstances.
Moreover, Jordan’s regional role extends far beyond its geography, reflecting a qualitative political presence built on credibility and moderation. For decades, Jordan has been at the forefront of advocating for a discourse of balance, defending the concept of the state against chaos, and confronting extremism and terrorism both intellectually and operationally. It has presented a compelling model for combining security, stability, and political openness.
Despite its limited resources, Jordan has proven itself to be a pivotal actor—not through hard power, but through firm political will, effective diplomacy, and a remarkable ability to build and maintain regional and international balances. This has reinforced its standing as a reliable partner across key regional and global issues, and as a consistent voice in major international discussions.
At the heart of these issues lies Jordan’s unwavering commitment to defending the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, and its firm rejection of any attempts to bypass or undermine those rights. From a Jordanian perspective, peace cannot be imposed through force or unilateral realities; it must be grounded in justice, respect for international law, and the right of peoples to self-determination.
Any discourse promoting maps that envision the occupation or expansion into other sovereign states does not produce reality—it generates crises. It does not reflect strength, but rather exposes a profound misunderstanding of both politics and religion. In contrast, states that anchor their positions in legitimacy and realism are those capable of enduring and influencing the course of events.
Jordan today, as always, stands firm as a state that does not succumb to provocation, does not compromise its sovereignty, and does not abandon its role. It is a state that understands that stability cannot be imposed by force, but must be built through wisdom—and that true strength lies not in expansion, but in steadfastness.
For this reason, Jordan will remain a strong, cohesive, and resilient nation—a voice of reason in a region fraught with challenges. A state that does not yield to illusions, does not retreat under pressure, but moves forward with confidence, grounded in its history, its legitimacy, and the unwavering belief of its people that this nation is enduring, rooted, and immune to any attempts to undermine it.
