Jordan Daily - Prime Minister Jafar Hassan on Tuesday ordered comprehensive upgrades to healthcare and education facilities in the governorates of Irbid and Ajloun, as part of efforts to improve public services and boost local development.

During a field tour, Hassan stressed the importance of supporting national industries and expanding job opportunities. He began with a visit to Durra Amman Food Industries Company in Sakhrah, directing officials to facilitate the company’s planned expansion and relocation to a new site this year. The move is expected to increase production and exports and include the firm in the food industries stimulus programme, creating new jobs for local residents.

Hassan also toured a traditional fashion company in Sakhrah and called for support to establish an additional factory this year, projected to generate 1,200 jobs. He urged broader health coverage for workers and the expansion of vocational training programmes with specialised courses in garment manufacturing.

In Irbid’s Northern Mazar district, Hassan ordered the full rehabilitation of the Irhaba Charitable Society and instructed authorities to equip it to expand services. He also directed the upgrade of Irhaba Primary Health Center into a comprehensive facility operating around the clock, and called for urgent solutions for the Samad and Za’atra Primary Health Center.

The prime minister further ordered extensive maintenance at Irhaba Secondary School for Girls, including laboratory upgrades.
