Jordan Daily - Interior Ministry announced new facilitation measures for Lebanese citizens and investors, citing close bilateral ties.
The measures allow Lebanese nationals and their families to obtain one-year residency by depositing JOD10,000 in a Jordanian bank and presenting a certified annual lease worth at least JOD 5,000. Those holding valid residency in another country can also apply directly.
A five-year residency is available for those purchasing residential property worth at least 100,000 dinars.
Holders of these residencies will be allowed to enroll their children in private schools, import private vehicles and exchange valid Lebanese driving licences for Jordanian ones.
The decision also eases company registration in permitted sectors and allows access to government health insurance at non-Jordanian rates, the ministry said.
