Jordan Daily - In a market where mobility demand is evolving alongside technology and consumer expectations, Markazia Group has positioned itself as a dominant automotive distributor, leveraging global partnerships and a growing service network to expand its footprint.
Founded in 1999 as the exclusive distributor of Toyota vehicles in Jordan, Markazia -formally known as Central Trade & Auto Co. - has grown into a diversified mobility provider, representing brands including Lexus, Hino trucks and Budget Rent a Car.
From its headquarters in Amman, the company now employs more than 1,000 people and operates a countrywide network of showrooms, service centers and spare parts facilities, reflecting its shift from a single-brand distributor to a broader “total mobility solutions” provider.
Markazia’s expansion mirrors wider trends in the regional automotive sector, where distributors are moving beyond vehicle sales into after-sales services, leasing and digital customer engagement. The company has sold more than 100,000 vehicles and serviced over one million since its inception, underscoring the scale of its operations.

Its portfolio has widened steadily over the years. After launching as Toyota’s sole distributor, the firm added Lexus and Hino in the mid-2000s, before branching into car rental services and newer segments such as electric vehicle solutions and automotive accessories.
The company has also invested in digital transformation. In recent years, it introduced cloud-based customer engagement tools, including chatbots and digital contact centers, aimed at improving service efficiency and personalizing the customer journey.
Markazia’s growth strategy includes geographic expansion. The opening of new service and spare parts facilities - such as a branch in Mafraq - is part of efforts to strengthen after-sales support across Jordan, particularly outside the capital.
A family-led leadership structure continues to shape the company’s direction. Markazia was founded by George Haddad, who established its exclusive Toyota distributorship in Jordan and oversaw its early expansion. Today, operational leadership rests with his son, Nadim Haddad, who serves as chief executive officer and has led efforts to modernize the business through digital innovation and customer-focused services.
With more than two decades of experience, Markazia continues to focus on service quality and operational efficiency, while aligning with industry shifts toward electrification and integrated mobility services.
As competition intensifies and consumer expectations evolve, the company’s ability to balance traditional dealership strengths with innovation will likely shape its next phase of growth.
