Jordan Daily - Government on Wednesday urged citizens not to rush to buy or stockpile food and essential goods, saying there is no justification for panic buying amid stable supply conditions.

Government Communication Minister and official spokesperson Mohammad Momani said strategic reserves of food, basic commodities, fuel and medicines are secure and sufficient to meet the kingdom’s needs under normal consumption levels, without any disruptions.

He added that supply chains are operating efficiently and continuously, ensuring the steady availability of goods across markets.

Momani said relevant authorities are closely monitoring markets to regulate prices and prevent unjustified practices, including withholding goods from sale.

He also called on the public to rely on official sources for information, warning against the spread of rumours, and stressing the importance of public awareness and responsible media reporting.
