Jordan Daily- In a significant gesture of diplomatic engagement and care for the Indian community in Jordan, Ambassador of India to Jordan His Excellency Manish Chauhan visited Classic Fashion, one of the largest apparel manufacturers in the Kingdom, to interact with Indian employees and assess their well-being amidst the ongoing regional situation.
Mr. Chauhan, was accompanied by Mr. Sivaraman Vasudevan, Head of Chancery & Second Secretary (Commerce), and Mr. Antrip Sood, First Secretary (Consular). The visit underscored the Indian government's commitment to ensuring the safety, welfare, and working conditions of Indian nationals residing and working in Jordan, Classic fashion said in a statement.

During the visit, the ambassador engaged directly with Indian workers employed across Classic Fashion’s facilities, listened to their concerns, and provided consular guidance. Ambassador Chauhan took the opportunity to encourage all Indian nationals to register with the Embassy through its official website, enabling it to maintain effective communication and provide timely assistance. He also advised employees to rely only on authentic information circulated by the Embassy from time to time.

The delegation also held discussions with the company's leadership to reinforce coordination mechanisms for employee safety and well-being. Mr. Sanal Kumar, Chairman and Managing Director of Classic Fashion, expressed his appreciation for the Embassy's proactive approach: "We are deeply grateful to His Excellency Ambassador Manish Chauhan and the Embassy team for their visit and for their commitment to the Indian community in Jordan.
