Jordan Daily - Prime Minister Jafar Hassan on Monday ordered government bodies to curb spending amid current conditions, state media reported.
The directive bans the use of government vehicles outside official duties and working hours, revoking all prior exemptions. It also suspends foreign travel for official delegations and committees, as well as hosting foreign delegations, for two months unless deemed essential and approved by the prime minister.
The order further prohibits the use of air conditioning and heating in ministries and public institutions.
The Audit Bureau and internal control units were tasked with monitoring compliance and reporting violations. The government will continue enforcing earlier cost-cutting measures, the statement said.
