Jordan Daily - Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates said on Sunday it summoned Iran's chargé d'affaires in Amman to deliver a strong protest over repeated Iranian attacks targeting Jordanian territory and the provocative statements by Iranian officials.
The ministry said it demanded that Iran immediately halt the attacks, stressing that Jordan's security, sovereignty and the safety of its citizens are "a red line."
Jordan condemned the alleged attacks as a violation of its sovereignty and international law, the ministry said.
The ministry also condemned Iranian attacks targeting Gulf Arab states and reaffirmed Jordan's full solidarity with members of the Gulf Cooperation Council, backing measures they take to protect their security and sovereignty.
Jordan said it would continue taking all necessary steps to safeguard its citizens, security and territorial integrity.
