Jordan Daily - The U.S. Embassy in Jordan has urged American citizens to exercise heightened caution, warning that the security environment across the Middle East remains volatile and could escalate without warning.
In a security alert issued on Friday, the embassy said Americans in the region should prepare for possible flight cancellations, periodic airspace closures, and other travel disruptions. It advised travelers to check flight status directly with airlines or through Queen Alia International Airport.
The embassy also urged Americans outside the Middle East to reconsider travel to and through the region.
It warned that U.S. diplomatic facilities and other American interests overseas could be targeted by Iran or groups supportive of Iran. The embassy advised U.S. citizens in Jordan to avoid military bases and to follow instructions from Jordanian authorities, including sirens and other emergency warnings, while monitoring official travel advisories.
