Jordan Daily - The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates is assisting several Jordanians, including children, allegedly exploited for begging by a group under investigation in Malaysia on human trafficking charges, the ministry said on Saturday.

The ministry, through the Jordanian embassy in Kuala Lumpur, is coordinating with Malaysian authorities to assist the victims and facilitate their return to Jordan.

Spokesperson Fouad Majali said some suspects were relatives of the victims. Adult suspects will be referred to Jordanian courts upon their return and could face charges under the country’s human trafficking law.
