Jordan Daily - The Malaysian Embassy in Amman held a reception on Monday to mark Malaysia's National Day, with embassy officials, their families and members of the Malaysian community in Jordan attending the event.
The ceremony began with prayers, the raising of the Malaysian flag and the singing of national songs.

Malaysia's ambassador to Jordan, Dato’ Mohamad Nasri Abdul Rahman, addressed the gathering and said the occasion was an opportunity to reflect on the values represented by Malaysia's National Day, including unity and nation-building.

The ambassador also thanked Jordanian employees at the embassy for their dedication and participation in the celebrations.

A group of young Malaysians performed a traditional cultural presentation, followed by an awards ceremony in which the ambassador and his wife presented certificates of appreciation and prizes to children and young people who took part in a Malaysian educational programme organised by the Malaysian Embassy Ladies Association in Amman.
