Jordan Daily - Al-Kindi Hospital has joined the Health Care Accreditation Council’s 2026 Change Day initiative, held under the theme “Act Today for Safer Care and a Better Life: Managing Noncommunicable Diseases Safely, Towards Sustainable Health.”
The initiative coincides with World Patient Safety Day, launched by the World Health Organization, and aims to promote safe, integrated care for people living with noncommunicable diseases while improving patients’ quality of life and strengthening health and safety.
As part of the initiative, Al-Kindi’s senior management and various departments introduced commitments designed to improve patient care and hospital services. These included strengthening teamwork among staff, developing systems to create a healthier care environment and incorporating patient feedback into treatment and services.
The hospital also focused on educating patients about noncommunicable diseases, their treatment and how to live with them, while encouraging patients to understand their rights and responsibilities and participate actively in their care plans.
Other measures included improving response times and pain management in emergency services, providing pharmaceutical and laboratory guidance, collecting patients’ daily suggestions through the hospital’s electronic system, accommodating dietary preferences under the supervision of nutrition specialists, and strengthening sterilisation standards.
The initiatives seek to engage healthcare staff in continuous quality improvement, strengthen communication between patients and medical teams and ensure that patient feedback contributes to the development of care.
Al-Kindi Hospital is a private, multi-specialty hospital offering a range of medical and surgical services, including bariatric and cosmetic surgery, vascular surgery, fertility treatment, lithotripsy, interventional radiology, cancer screening, organ transplantation, cardiac catheterisation and open-heart surgery. It also operates a gastrointestinal endoscopy unit, 12 specialised operating rooms and an emergency department equipped with modern facilities and ambulances.
