Jordan Daily – Foreign trade data issued by the Department of Statistics revealed that the volume of trade between Jordan and Egypt during the first five months of this year amounted to nearly JD 252 million.
However, the value of national exports to Egypt experienced a decline during the same period, reaching nearly 45 million dinars, compared to about JD 66 million in the previous year.
Similarly, the Kingdom’s imports from Egypt also saw a decrease, reaching about JD 207 million until the end of last May , compared to JD 236 million for the same period last year.
According to the data, the Kingdom’s trade balance deficit with Egypt stood at 162 million dinars at the end of May this year, compared to JD 170 million.
