Jordan temporarily closes airspace amid regional tensions

Jordan Daily – Jordanian Civil Aviation Regulatory Commission (CARC) has temporarily closed the country’s airspace to all inbound, outbound, and transit flights due to rising regional tensions, CARC Chief Commissioner Haitham Misto said on Friday.

The move is a precautionary measure to ensure the safety of air traffic and passengers, in line with international aviation agreements, including the Chicago Convention, Misto added. The decision will be reviewed based on evolving developments and risk assessments.

Airlines are being kept informed to update passengers accordingly, the regulator said.
