Jordan Daily – The Jordan Standards and Metrology Organization (JSMO) announced on Saturday a comprehensive control plan for markets throughout the Kingdom during the Eid Al Fitr holidays.
The JSMO stated it will maintain market supervision before and throughout the holidays, with a particular focus on high-demand products to ensure they meet the necessary specifications and technical standards.
The organization’s staff will conduct checks on a variety of goods, including pre-packaged sweets, weights and scales in commercial stores, children’s toys, cosmetics, clothing, and other branded items.
In addition, the JSMO will carry out unannounced and regular inspections of gas distribution centers, vehicles, fuel stations, and tanks to monitor meters and fuel quality.
The organization also confirmed that its staff will operate around the clock at border crossings and customs centers during the Eid holiday.
