
Jordan Daily – His Majesty King Abdullah II visited the Global Industrial and Defence Solutions (GIDS) company in Islamabad on Sunday, according to a royal court statement.
His Majesty was briefed on the work of the Pakistan-owned company, which specialises in research and development and the manufacture of military and defence equipment and tools using modern technology.
The visit explored ways of cooperation and exchange of expertise between the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army and the company, within the framework of military cooperation between Jordan and Pakistan.
The visit was followed by the King and Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif attending a drill by the Pakistani military forces.
His Majesty was accompanied by Their Royal Highnesses Princess Salma bint Abdullah II, and Prince Ghazi bin Muhammad, His Majesty’s chief adviser for religious and cultural affairs and personal envoy, as well as Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Maj. Gen. Yousef Huneiti, and Director of the Office of His Majesty Alaa Batayneh.
