Jordan Daily – The National Agricultural Research Center (NARC) and the Agricultural Engineers Association (AEA) have signed today a memorandum of cooperation to train and build the capacities of newly graduated agricultural engineers.
The agreement, signed by NARC Director General Dr. Nizar Haddad and AEA head Eng. Ali Abu Nuqta, aims to harness youth potential in line with the government’s economic modernization vision , guided by His Majesty King Abdullah II.
Haddad said that the initiative seeks to address poverty and unemployment by creating job opportunities for graduates, enhancing food security through innovation programs, and introducing modern technologies to develop the agricultural sector.
He added AEA will nominate 30 engineers for training at its stations across Jordan, with a focus on remote and southern governorates and the Jordan Valley. The training program is set to begin in July 2024 and will last three months.
Eng. Abu Nuqta emphasized the AEA’s commitment to scientific training programs that equip graduates with practical skills for employment or starting small agricultural projects , thanking NARC for reactivating its training program for new graduates at its research stations across the kingdom.
