Pakistan Embassy in Jordan marks “Kashmir Black Day”

Jordan Daily – The Pakistani Embassy in Jordan held a seminar on Tuesday to mark Kashmir Black Day, which falls on October 27 every year, and express solidarity with the Palestinian people.

In a statement sent to Jordan Daily , the event which was attended by Jordanian dignitaries, academics, media, and think tanks, mourned the loss of Palestinian lives in the ongoing Israeli aggression on Gaza and prayed for the martyrs and the wounded.

The speakers said that Kashmir and Palestine are the two main issues of the Muslim world and called for their resolution in accordance with the UN Security Council resolutions.

They also urged the international community to take action against the human rights violations in Kashmir and praised Pakistan’s efforts to seek a peaceful solution.

On Oct. 27, 1947, Indian troops positioned themselves in Kashmir’s largest city, Srinagar, after India and Pakistan gained their independence from the British colonial rule. The anniversary of this Indian action is observed by Pakistanis and Kashmiris as “Black Day”.
