Pakistani charities support Palestinian students’ medical education

Jordan Daily – Demonstrating Pakistan’s long-standing solidarity with the Palestinian people, a comprehensive initiative has been launched to enable Palestinian students to pursue advanced medical education in Pakistan amid ongoing conflicts in Gaza and the West Bank.

The initiative, executed in collaboration with Pakistan’s prominent charity organization Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan, Global Relief Trust, and Doctors of Rahman, aims to support 192 Palestinian medical students in completing their medical education at Pakistani universities.

The program is fully funded, and targets students whose studies have been interrupted due to the escalating violence in Gaza. The first group of 27 Palestinian medical students arrived in Lahore today via Cairo, Egypt, where they were welcomed at Allama Iqbal International Airport by senior representatives from Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan, Doctors of Rahman, and Global Relief Trust.

The program is being carried out under directives from the Government of Pakistan. Through this fully-funded arrangement, the Pakistani charity organizations will provide housing and other amenities for the Palestinian students during their stay in Pakistan.
