Jordan Daily – Public Prosecutor has indicted the general manager of a rice company on charges of trading unsafe and expired food.
The indictment comes after a months-long investigation into the company, which was triggered by a complaint from the Public Food and Drug Corporation.
The prosecutor’s office said in a statement that the company manager was charged with four crimes: trading unsafe food for human consumption , trading food unfit for human consumption , trading expired food and falsely describing food by having data cards containing words, phrases, and information that are not clear, readable, or understandable
If convicted, the manager could face up to three years in prison.
