Jordan Daily – Six Kazakh companies are ready to begin exporting mutton, beef, and live animals to Jordan, Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Agriculture said on Tuesday, following talks with Jordanian veterinary authorities.
The announcement came after a meeting between Kazakh agricultural officials and representatives of Jordan’s Veterinary Control and Supervision Committee. Discussions focused on export procedures, including veterinary certification, traceability, and biosecurity standards.
Kazakhstan presented its national veterinary control system and outlined measures ensuring the safety and quality of its meat products, Kazinform News Agency reported.
The two sides also discussed the approval process for veterinary certificates and agreed to deepen cooperation in the agricultural sector.
In 2024, Kazakhstan has exported over 30,000 tonnes of meat, including to Middle Eastern markets. The country aims to increase its meat exports to 50,000 tonnes by year-end, according to earlier government statements.
Kazakh officials said the products meet international standards for quality and safety.
