Jordan Daily – Syrian President Ahmad Al-Sharaa said on Sunday that the threats facing Syria are not fleeting but part of broader plans aimed at sowing discord and instability in the country.
In a televised speech, Al-Sharaa said the previous regime had left deep wounds that would be difficult to heal, urging Syrians to remain strong in the face of those trying to incite sectarian tensions.
He added that remnants of the old regime would not be granted any leniency, stressing that they had no option but to surrender. The state, he said, would hold accountable anyone involved in civilian bloodshed or who acted beyond the limits of the law.
Al-Sharaa emphasized that Syria would remain united and would not allow any attempts to undermine national unity or civil peace, condemning any calls for foreign intervention in the country’s affairs.
