Jordan Daily – U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for Near Eastern Affairs Barbara Leaf began a regional tour on Thursday to discuss ways to prevent the Middle East conflict from escalating and to protect civilians, the State Department said.
Leaf will visit the UAE, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman, Egypt, Jordan and Israel, and may add more stops, it said.
She will also reaffirm U.S. support for a region that meets the aspirations of its people, it added.
