Jordan Daily – Five Arab foreign ministers and a senior Palestinian official have urged U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio to reject plans to temporarily relocate Palestinians from Gaza during reconstruction efforts, according to a letter obtained by Axios.
The ministers from Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Qatar, Egypt, and Jordan, along with a Palestinian official, warned that further displacement could destabilize the region and fuel radicalization.
They emphasized in the letter that Palestinians should remain in their land and be involved in the rebuilding process.
The letter also expressed support for a two-state solution and urged the U.S. to avoid forced deportations of Palestinians by Israel.
