Jordan-based Alefredo EdTech has acquired British private tutoring platform Tutor House, the company said, as it seeks to expand its presence in the UK and build a broader education technology ecosystem.

The deal was valued at $600,000 and was primarily structured as shares in Alefredo Holding Company, alongside additional strategic and performance-based incentives, Alefredo EdTech founder and chief executive **Ahmad Al Saif** told *Forbes Middle East*.

Tutor House UK, which operates an online tutoring marketplace, has more than **30,000 teachers** and serves over **15,000 students worldwide**, according to a statement from Alefredo.

Founded in **2020** in Amman, Alefredo EdTech initially operated as a used-books marketplace before expanding into digital learning tools, including interactive aptitude tests and curriculum-aligned educational resources. The company focuses on international education systems used across the Middle East, such as the **American AP**, **British Edexcel**, **A Level**, **O Level**, **Cambridge**, and the **International Baccalaureate**.

Alefredo said the acquisition would support its ambition to develop an end-to-end education platform integrating students, parents, and teachers, while maintaining a blend of technology and human-led instruction.

The acquisition also reflects Jordan’s growing role as a regional hub for education technology, as local startups increasingly pursue cross-border expansion.
