JD - Iran denied sending messages to the United States after reports of possible contacts, saying its armed forces are prepared for a long war while Washington and Israel insist no negotiations with Tehran are underway.
An unnamed Iranian official told the semi-official Tasnim news agency early Thursday that Tehran had not communicated with Washington and had no intention of responding to any US outreach.
“No message has been sent from Iran to the US, nor will any response be given to US messages,” the official said, according to Tasnim.
