Jordan Daily – BIA Textile has provided reusable fabric bags to the Environmental Protection Directorate in Mafraq in support of its “Keep Your Bag in Your Car” campaign, run in partnership with the All Jordan Youth Commission.
The initiative encourages residents to reduce their reliance on single-use plastic bags, curb littering from vehicles and adopt more sustainable consumption habits. Volunteers distributed reusable cloth bags to motorists at key locations in the city, urging them to keep the bags in their cars for everyday shopping.
Karthikeyan Mariappan, Assistant General Manager for Environmental, Sustainability, Safety & Compliance at BIA Textile, said the company’s contribution reflects its commitment to promoting environmentally responsible behaviour. Choose reusable. Protect our planet. Plastic kills nature – let’s return to sustainable fabric bags and safeguard our planet for future generations,” he said.

Mafraq Environment Director Ali Erheil said the campaign aims to raise public awareness of simple daily practices that can help protect the environment and support Jordan’s shift toward a greener economy.
Raya Abu Dalbouh of Classic Fashions’s CSR team said the donation forms part of the company’s broader social responsibility efforts and its focus on sustainability.
The initiative forms part of ongoing efforts by local authorities and civil society groups to reduce plastic waste and promote environmentally friendly alternatives across the governorate, she noted.
