Jordan Daily – Georgia will grant visa-free entry to citizens of 17 countries starting May 16, 2025, provided they hold valid visas or residence permits from select Gulf countries, the government said on Thursday.

Under the new decree issued by the ruling Georgian Dream party, nationals of Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Ghana, Ethiopia, Eritrea, Yemen, Cameroon, Côte d’Ivoire, Democratic Republic of Congo, Morocco, Nigeria, Pakistan, Somalia, Syria, Sudan, Tanzania, and Uganda will be eligible to enter and remain in Georgia without a Georgian visa.

To qualify, travelers must possess a visa or residence permit from the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, or Oman that is valid for at least one year prior to their arrival.

The move is seen as part of Georgia’s broader efforts to boost tourism and strengthen ties with countries across the Middle East and beyond.
