Jordan Daily – The Jordan Insurance Federation (JIF) concluded its eighth training programme of 2025 on Thursday, with 28 professionals participating in a two-day course focused on Own Risk and Solvency Assessment (ORSA) for insurance companies.
Held from July 16 to 17, the 12-hour programme was led by Raafat Hamad, Compliance Director at Dubai Insurance Company, and an industry veteran with over two decades of experience in regulatory and technical roles across Jordan and the UAE.
The training covered ORSA implementation, recovery planning, corrective measures, and scenario testing- tools aimed at enhancing compliance, financial resilience, and regulatory preparedness among insurers.
Participants included representatives from 13 local insurance firms, the Central Bank of Jordan, Housing Bank for Trade and Finance, and the Federation itself.
The course is part of JIF’s 2025 Annual Training Plan, which aims to build technical capacity in financial, audit, actuarial, and risk functions across the insurance sector. Certificates of attendance were distributed at the close of the session.
