Jordan Daily – Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates welcomed U.S. President Donald Trump’s announcement to lift sanctions on Syria during his visit to Saudi Arabia.
Foreign Ministry spokesman Ambassador Sufian Qudah said the move was an important step toward rebuilding Syria and opening new avenues for economic cooperation between Syria and the international community, which would help bring prosperity to the Syrian people.
Qudah reaffirmed Jordan’s full support for Syria and its people, stressing the Kingdom’s commitment to efforts aimed at rebuilding the country in a way that preserves its unity, security, stability, and the safety of its territory and citizens.
