Jordan Daily – The Embassy of Malaysia in Amman yesterday officially launched the Visit Malaysia Year (VMY) 2026 promotional campaign in Jordan, marking a major step in strengthening tourism cooperation between Malaysia and Jordan.
The event, held in collaboration with Tourism Malaysia, brought together representatives from Jordan’s travel and hospitality sectors, media partners, airline stakeholders, and members of the diplomatic community.
In his remarks, the Ambassador of Malaysia to Jordan Mohamad Nasri Bin Abdul Rahman, highlighted Malaysia’s commitment to enhancing bilateral tourism flows, noting that Jordan remains an important source market in the Middle East.

He emphasized that VMY 2026 aims to welcome 47 million international visitors and generate RM329 billion (USD80 billion) in tourism revenue, with a strong focus on showcasing Malaysia’s diverse cultural heritage, pristine natural landscapes, family-friendly attractions, and world-class hospitality.
The Ambassador underscored that Malaysia continues to position itself as a preferred destination for Jordanian travellers due to its Muslim-friendly tourism ecosystem, ease of travel, wide range of halal dining options, and direct or easily connected flight routes via key regional hubs.

He also encouraged Jordanian tour operators to explore expanded partnerships with Malaysian tourism players to create attractive packages tailored for families, students, adventure travellers, and honeymooners.
The promotional event also featured cultural performances, a multimedia presentation on Malaysia’s top destinations such as Langkawi, Penang, Sabah, Sarawak, and Kuala Lumpur and displays highlighting Malaysia’s eco-tourism, medical tourism, and education tourism offerings. Jordanian travel agencies expressed strong interest in expanding joint marketing efforts ahead of 2026.
